How far in advance should I start planning my trip?

The general ideal timeline is 9-10 months before departure for international travel and 3-4 months in advance for domestic.  This allows you the most selection of accommodations and the lowest pricing.  Waiting beyond those recommendations can really limit your choices and assures you will likely pay higher prices.

Do you charge fees to give me a proposal & plan my trip?

No, our planning services are FREE.  We do, however, ask that you take time at the end of your trip to fill out the survey, and if you choose to post pictures on social media, tag us! Occasionally, we have repeat clients reach out for help with only air and we will charge a small fee for that service.

Is it cheaper booking through JMA rather than doing it myself?

Cheaper, most of the time but not always. However, you won't pay more because of using our services.  It will also be less time consuming, less headache, less sitting on the phone on hold.

We do come across promotional and special rates before they are open to the public, we also have access to some membership prices that we can transfer to our clients.

Everything we do is tailored to your needs/wants. No two trips are alike! Googling a destination can only get you so far and we are continuously building relationships with suppliers and local experts to allow you to have the best experience possible. We do our best to work within your budget when possible.

What is included with my trip proposal?

We provide you with a highly detailed, and easily accessible day-by-day itinerary that includes flight recommendations, transfers, accommodations, tours, excursions, local highlights and a per person cost.  We are happy to present all of our findings via call, zoom, email, or even in person so we can make sure your trip is fully customized to fit your needs/wants.

Who should I use for as my Travel Advisor?

You are welcome to reach out to any of our advisors for your travel needs. If you are unsure who will be best for your travel experience, you can always read our bios on the Meet the Team Page or contact Jennifer for more info about the team. Jennifer is the founder and has the most experience planning vacations. She also knows her advisors well and can help you find the perfect fit!

How long do I have to review the proposal before I book my trip?

We recommend booking your trip right away as pricing and availability can change without notice.

We do, however, understand that it may take time for you or those in your travel party to make a decision.  So, if you need to wait, that is fine, please understand that we cannot hold rooms or flights, and the original proposal could become unavailable.  If this happens, we will help gather new information for you, but again waiting could lead to unavailability and change in prices.

What are the benefits of having JMA handle my trip?

We have no cookie-cutter itineraries, and everything we do is tailored to each traveler. We are a boutique company who LOVES to travel, and we are always on the lookout for new adventures for our clients and ourselves. Just look at the scuff marks on our luggage! We are experts because we are travelers!

If you are curious about how we explore the world ourselves, we welcome you to follow our social media, or even better, join one of our advisor led group trips!

We do work together, and we love sharing our passion and knowledge with each other to make our clients have the best experiences possible.

Do I need Travel Protection?

We highly recommend you buy a travel protection policy to cover your trip. As the day of your departure approaches, we want to help you be prepared for unexpected travel problems you may encounter on the way so you can make the most of your journey. We can provide price quotes from Travel Protection Providers upon request. Because we fully believe in the necessity of travel protection, especially on trips that are larger investments from you, we will typically ask you to sign a release if you decline travel protection acknowledging that you have been advised of the risks and benefits by your advisor and have decided to decline anyway.
